Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a motivated Intern Process Engineering to join our Central Process Engineering - Technical Department.

The intern will work closely with a process engineer and support day to day engineering activities related to semiconductor manufacturing processes. The role focuses on data gathering, evaluations, measurements, documentation, and support for continuous improvement.

This internship is particularly suited for students with a materials engineering background who are interested in applying their knowledge in a high tech, industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the process engineer, you will:

  • Support data collection and analysis for process monitoring and improvement (e.g. process parameters, metrology data, defect data, yield indicators).
  • Assist in process evaluations and experiments (DOE, trials, process changes), including planning, execution support, and result consolidation.
  • Perform or support measurements and characterization using available tools and reports.
  • Contribute to creation and maintenance of documentation, such as:
    • Work instructions
    • Process and equipment parameter sheets
    • Technical reports and presentations
  • Help prepare dashboards, charts and summaries to communicate process performance and experiment results.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production and quality teams to gather information and follow up on actions.
  • Respect and promote STMicroelectronics safety, quality and ethical standards in all activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

Currently enrolled in a Engineer or Master s degree, preferably in:

  • Materials Engineering (strong preference)
  • or related fields such as Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Microelectronics.

  • Good skills in data handling and analysis, for example using:
    • Excel (or similar tools) for data processing and charting.
  • Ability to read and write technical documentation in English
