Job Description

An Inventory Control Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining the stock levels of an organization. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of inventory records, implementing efficient inventory management systems, and coordinating with various departments to ensure that inventory needs are met. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement inventory management procedures and best practices.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of inventory.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory and identify discrepancies for resolution.
  • Analyze inventory data and reports to forecast future product demands.
  • Implement inventory tracking systems to streamline inventory control processes.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing department to manage efficient restocking plans.
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of products within the warehouse facility.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce inventory costs and optimize stock levels.
  • Prepare and present inventory reports to management for strategic planning.
  • Liaise with other departments to align inventory cycles with operational needs.
  • Oversee the training of staff on inventory control processes and systems.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an inventory control specialist or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management software and systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in inventory analysis.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with teams.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
