Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess.
- Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to validate inventory records and identify discrepancies.
- Utilize inventory management software to track stock movements, ensuring real-time accuracy of inventory data.
- Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to forecast demand and adjust inventory strategies accordingly.
- Implement and refine inventory control procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Analyze inventory turnover rates and develop strategies to improve stock rotation and reduce obsolescence.
- Prepare detailed reports on inventory status, trends, and forecasts to assist in strategic decision-making.
- Train and mentor staff on inventory management best practices and software utilization.
- Collaborate with logistics to streamline the receiving and storage processes of new inventory.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding the storage and handling of inventory.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory control or supply chain management, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of implementing successful inventory management strategies that reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Experience with inventory management software like SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms is essential.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions quickly.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with various departments.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in an additional language is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and organization in managing inventory records.
