Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end due diligence on assigned transactions, covering commercial, financial, operational, and market dimensions
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and scenario frameworks
  • Prepare investment memoranda and supporting materials for senior leadership review
  • Conduct market-entry assessments for international companies seeking to establish a presence in the UAE
  • Analyse joint venture structures and partnership economics, surfacing risks and value-creation considerations
  • Coordinate legal advisors, consultants, and counterparty workstreams during transaction execution
  • Support structuring and term sheet processes under direction from senior leadership
  • Maintain accurate deal tracking and pipeline documentation
  • Stay current on sector trends, regulatory developments, and the competitive landscape across target industries
  • Own the performance monitoring framework across the portfolio, establishing KPIs, tracking progress, and producing regular reporting for the CIO and Group CEO
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with portfolio company management teams
  • Identify performance issues early and work with management and the CIO to develop and execute corrective plans
  • Support portfolio companies on strategic planning, capital allocation, and operational priorities where required
  • Coordinate annual business planning cycles and budget reviews across the portfolio
  • Manage follow-on investment assessments and requests for additional capital from existing portfolio companies
  • Lead value-creation workstreams including commercial reviews, benchmarking, and growth initiatives in collaboration with management
  • Maintain a clear view of exit readiness and optionality for each portfolio asset

  • Strong execution track record
  • Experience evaluating businesses in emerging or high-growth markets; UAE/GCC exposure is a meaningful advantage
  • Comfortable working across sectors
  • Exceptional financial modelling and analytical capability
  • Strong written communication: ability to distil complex commercial situations into clear, concise narratives
  • Detail-oriented and highly organised
  • High initiative and personal ownership
  • Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, advisors, and counterparties on a day-to-day basis
  • Meaningful exposure to post-investment portfolio work, board representation, performance management, or value creation roles
  • Prior experience working with businesses in growth or turnaround phases; UAE/GCC market familiarity is a meaningful advantage
  • Strong financial and analytical skills able to interrogate management accounts, build performance models, and spot issues proactively
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Structured thinker who can manage multiple portfolio relationships simultaneously without losing attention to detail
  • High initiative and personal accountability
  • Confident and articulate in board and senior leadership settings
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • CFA or MBA is advantageous
