Job Description

As an IT Communications Specialist, you play a crucial role in bridging the gap between the technical team and non-technical stakeholders. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that information regarding IT initiatives, updates, and system changes are clearly and effectively communicated throughout the organization. You will work closely with IT professionals, project managers, and department heads to craft messages that resonate with various audiences. This involves creating and managing communication materials, facilitating trainings and presentations, and maintaining open channels for feedback. The role demands strong writing skills, an aptitude for technology, and the ability to translate complex information into user-friendly content.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive IT communication strategies for the organization.
  • Create clear and persuasive content for IT newsletters, announcements, and reports.
  • Coordinate internal communication efforts during IT system upgrades or transitions.
  • Collaborate with IT and project teams to understand communication needs and objectives.
  • Manage and update a repository of IT communication materials and resources.
  • Organize and conduct training sessions on new IT tools and systems for non-technical staff.
  • Monitor feedback on IT communications and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Liaise with various departments to ensure consistent and aligned communication efforts.
  • Support crisis communication planning and execution related to IT incidents or outages.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of IT communication strategies and report on results.
  • Utilize digital tools to enhance communication efforts, including social media and intranet.
  • Draft FAQ documents and troubleshooting guides for common IT issues.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Communications, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT communications or a similar communications role.
  • Strong ability to translate complex IT jargon into accessible language.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and speaking skills are required.
  • Experience with digital communication platforms and content management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams.
