Position Overview
voco Hotels, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a skilled and proactive IT Coordinator to maintain smooth daily hotel operations through reliable technology infrastructure and cybersecurity. The role ensures that all hardware, software, and network systems are functioning efficiently, supporting exceptional guest and staff experiences in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage installation, configuration, and maintenance of all hotel IT systems, including computers, servers, and network equipment.
* Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs with vendors or service providers.
* Maintain hardware and software inventory records and update system documentation regularly.
* Oversee network security and implement protocols to protect data integrity and privacy.
* Administer user accounts, permissions, and passwords following IHG standards and security policies.
* Provide technical support to hotel staff across departments, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
* Maintain, back up, and recover data in accordance with corporate IT standards.
* Ensure compliance with PCI DSS and other information security standards for payment systems.
* Collaborate with IHG s corporate IT team for updates, integrations, and technology rollouts.
* Conduct system audits, report findings, and recommend improvements for better efficiency and safety.

Ideal Profile

* Diploma or vocational certificate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* At least 1 year of experience in IT operations, preferably in the hospitality industry.
* Proficiency in networking, database systems, and operating systems (Windows, LAN/WAN, POS).
* Basic understanding of data security, firewalls, antivirus management, and cloud systems.
* Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure in a busy hotel environment.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Familiarity with hospitality systems such as Opera PMS, Micros POS, or similar platforms is an advantage.
