Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, storage, networks, and data centers.
- Manage and support Windows/Linux servers (installation, configuration, patching, and performance tuning).
- Administer virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).
- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including hybrid environments and migrations.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity; proactively resolve issues.
- Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Ensure infrastructure security through patch management, access controls, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams on firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and 3rd-level infrastructure support.
- Maintain detailed documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Lead infrastructure upgrades, enhancements, and system migrations.
- Mentor junior team members and share technical knowledge.
- Work closely with application, DevOps, and business teams.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong hands-on experience in IT infrastructure engineering or administration.
- Solid experience with:
- Windows Server and/or Linux environments
- Networking (LAN, WAN, VLAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
- Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM)
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with storage solutions (SAN, NAS, backup technologies).
- Good understanding of IT security principles and infrastructure hardening.
- Experience with monitoring tools and scripting/automation (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Nice to Have
- Industry certifications (MCSE, CCNP, VMware, AWS/Azure, etc.).
- Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD environments.
- Experience working in enterprise or large-scale environments.
