Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Duties:
- Manages all IT infrastructure and application systems supporting visa processing, biometrics, cashiering, and customer service.
- Ensures maximum system uptime for visa, biometric, queue, and payment platforms to meet Embassy SLAs.
- Maintains data security, access control, and cybersecurity standards in line with Embassy, GDPR, and corporate policies.
- Leads IT support, helpdesk, and incident management for all VAC users.
- Oversees network, server, workstation, and biometric device management.
- Manages system upgrades, new centre rollouts, and technology projects.
- Coordinates with Embassy IT teams, biometric vendors, and software providers.
- Maintains disaster recovery, data backup, and business continuity plans.
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering
- Any IT certifications (ITIL, CISSP, ISO 27001, or similar) preferred
- 8-12 years in IT, including 3 5 years in an IT leadership role
- Experience in high-security, transaction-based environments (visa services, banking, government systems, BPO, or payments)
- Basic understanding of networking (LAN/WAN), routers, firewalls, and VPN.
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and device maintenance.
- Willingness to work shifts or weekends if required.
