An IT Project Manager plays a critical role in overseeing and driving the strategic planning, execution, and successful completion of technology-related projects within an organization. They are responsible for managing the project's scope, budget, timeline, and overall quality, ensuring alignment with the company's goals. The role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including software developers, IT technicians, and external vendors, to ensure seamless project execution. An effective IT Project Manager is adept at problem-solving and possesses strong leadership qualities to guide teams towards successful project delivery. This position demands excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration among diverse groups and to report to senior management on progress and any potential issues.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee IT projects from concept through completion.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including intermediate milestones.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and allocate resources effectively to meet project goals.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Identify and mitigate risks to project timelines and budgets proactively.
• Work closely with vendors and service providers to manage contracts and service levels.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
• Assist in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Conduct regular meetings to ensure successful development and execution of project plans.
• Implement and manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs as needed.
• Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget constraints.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience of at least three years in IT project management roles.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously with high efficiency.
• Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project or Jira.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification is highly desirable for this position.
