Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Our Client is looking for a seasoned IT Project Manager professional; There is a good chance that the role may be made Full Time if the project management performance is good.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management, utilizing project management methodologies like Agile or Waterfall.
  • Lead and manage project teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and motivation to achieve project objectives efficiently.
  • Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure projects are delivered within budget constraints, negotiating with vendors when necessary.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, including technical teams, business users, and vendors.
  • Manage and resolve project conflicts, escalating issues to senior management when necessary, and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings, prepare reports, and present project updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress and challenges.
  • Ensure adherence to IT governance and compliance standards, including security protocols and data privacy regulations.
  • Oversee project closure activities, including final documentation, knowledge transfer, and post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification, demonstrating project management expertise.
  • Has 5+ years of experience in IT project management, showcasing a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of various project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and their practical application. Good understanding of common IT Applications.
  • Exhibits experience in managing projects within the technology sector, particularly in software development or infrastructure projects.
  • Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project), enhancing project planning and tracking.
  • Exhibits strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of identifying and resolving complex project issues effectively.
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate teams and drive projects to successful completion.
  • Is fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Shipping Industry will be an added advantage, though not a must
