IT Senior Technician

Job Summary:
The University of Balamand Dekwaneh Campus is seeking a diligent, reliable, and detail-oriented Senior IT Technician to join its Information Technology team. In this role, you will oversee the campus s IT infrastructure, provide advanced technical support, and ensure the smooth operation of hardware, software, and network systems. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• - Provide advanced support for hardware, software, networking, and security issues.
• - Install, configure, and manage servers, switches, firewalls, and storage systems.
• - Monitor system performance, backups, and security protocols.
• - Maintain and update IT infrastructure documentation.
• - Lead IT projects and system upgrades in coordination with the IT Manager.
• - Guide and train junior technicians.
• - Ensure compliance with IT policies and best practices.
• - Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers for support and procurement.

Requirements:

• - Bachelor s degree in Information Technology or related field.
• - 4 7+ years of experience in IT support and systems administration.
• - Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, and backup solutions.
• - Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), Office 365, and firewall management (e.g., FortiGate, Cisco).
• - Strong analytical, leadership, and documentation skills.
• - Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, ITIL) are a plus.
