Job Description

As a Junior IT Support Technician, your role will be vital in ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and supporting the organization s staff in their technology needs. You will be the first point of contact for technical assistance and will help maintain the organization s computer systems, networks, and endpoints. This role requires a keen problem-solving mind, a passion for technology, and the ability to handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities with diligence. You will gain hands-on experience in a variety of IT tasks, ranging from hardware maintenance to software troubleshooting, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking to grow in the IT field.


Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve IT support requests from employees in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware and software.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues involving systems, hardware, and software.
  • Support the IT team in managing the company s network and maintaining security protocols.
  • Document technical issues and solutions in the company s ticketing system accurately.
  • Provide user training and support for common software applications and tools.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and updates on systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Set up new accounts, workstations, and necessary IT equipment for new users.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for hardware repairs and warranty services.
  • Assist with IT inventory management, including hardware and software licenses.
  • Participate in IT team meetings and contribute to developing IT strategies and solutions.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of company information and data at all times.

Requirements
  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in a technical support role or similar IT position is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of operating systems, particularly Windows and basic networking concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot hardware issues effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure.
  • Commitment to continuing education and staying updated with IT developments and technologies.
