Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment (e.g., ovens, grills, fryers, refrigerators, dishwashers).
- Inspect equipment to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Clean and lubricate parts to ensure smooth operation.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in kitchen appliances and equipment.
- Repair or replace faulty parts in stoves, ovens, mixers, steamers, slicers, etc.
- Work with both gas and electric kitchen equipment.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools.
- Order replacement parts as needed.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
Desired Candidate Profile
- At least 3 years of experience in HVAC or Electrical.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems as they relate to kitchen operations.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and blueprints.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
- Tradesman certificate/diploma holder in Refrigeration System or Electrical
- Experience in commercial kitchen environments (preferred).
