Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

As Lead AI Data Architect, you will lead the design and evolution of the organisation s AI-ready data architecture while managing a team of Data Architects responsible for building scalable and secure data platforms.

You will work closely with AI Engineering, Data Science, and platform teams to ensure data environments are optimised for analytics and machine learning at scale.

AI Data Architecture

  • Define and evolve the organisation s AI data architecture roadmap.
  • Design scalable data platforms supporting AI and advanced analytics.
  • Architect reliable data pipelines and modern data platform capabilities.
  • Establish best practices for data modelling, governance, and metadata management.

AI Platform Enablement

  • Partner with Data Science and AI Engineering teams to enable ML-ready data environments.
  • Support modern distributed data architectures and cloud-based platforms.
  • Ensure data platforms meet security, governance, and regulatory requirements.

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement.

  • Lead and mentor a team of Data Architects.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across technology and the business.
  • Provide architectural guidance for enterprise AI and data initiatives.

Desired Candidate Profile

10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data platforms.

Strong experience with modern data technologies such as Databricks, Spark, Kafka, Snowflake, Delta Lake, or BigQuery

Experience building data platforms that support machine learning and advanced analytics.

Strong understanding of data governance, modelling, and enterprise data architecture.

Proficiency with SQL, Python, and modern cloud data platforms.

Strong stakeholder management and leadership experience.

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
