Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Supporting Strategy Implementation

  • Supports the development and updating of the workforce planning framework and procedures in line with EGA’s policies and procedures

Team Engagement

  • Provides guidance and on the job training for junior colleagues and conducts knowledge sharing to facilitate achievement of team objectives and completion of tasks in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.
  • Promotes the organization’s values and ethics in all activities within the team to support the establishment of a value drive culture within the organization.

Budgeting and Financial Performance

  • Monitors the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets and ensures all activities are carried out in line with the approved guidelines while promptly reporting on any variances to management.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

  • Provides inputs and implements policies, systems, and procedure so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements, fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
  • Conducts effective communication of department’s policies and practices to the employees.
  • Regularly reviews, critiques, and benchmarks the policies and proposes revisions as required.
  • Ensures compliance to the process and standards set – section, department and EGA.

Data Collection

  • Undertakes innovative methods of data collection and building information that is relevant to create HC solutions for EGA in line with the defined HC strategy.
  • Assesses the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
  • Conducts processing, sorting, and double-checking data integrity for proper data analysis.

Data Analytics

  • Leads/ conducts all aspects of analytics related to Human Capital operations within EGA (organizing of data, extrapolating trends, tracking key indicators of workforce health etc.) to support the development of data driven solutions to achieve HC operational excellence.
  • Analyzes performance reports (KPI dashboards and initiative reporting) in relation to performance trends and identify future threats to achieving targets based on trend analysis.
  • Works with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive HC and business solutions.
  • Proposes solutions and strategies to business challenges.
  • Track key manpower ratios to ensure continuous improvement of staffing and structure models.
  • Collect and analyze data to prepare the groundwork for the design and roll out of organizational design and analytics initiatives designed to enhance HC performance.
  • Analyze the organization and highlight areas for improvement of manpower efficiencies, organization climate, and suggest potential areas for re-structuring and manpower reduction.
  • Provides specialist services in modelling workforce planning, incentive, and other human capital programs to understand financial impacts of planned initiatives, identifying areas in need of enhancement.
  • Conducts budget and workforce plan analysis to understand cost implications.
  • Conducts cost analysis on proposed organizational and workforce changes to aid strategic decision making.
  • Propose changes to workforce planning policies, enhance or revise existing workforce based on current trend analysis and global policy direction to maintain the eligibility, coverage, and applicability of the remuneration framework policies.
  • Provides specialist service to build insightful HC productivity dashboards to advise on workforce planning frameworks.
  • Manage the creation of standardized templates to track and report HC productivity/efficiency levels across the EGA and recommends measures to achieve optimal levels of performance.

Coordination

  • Conducts regular interaction with HC BPs and business to provide analytical and specialist support.

Environment, Health & Safety

  • Ensures compliance with all relevant safety, health and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls.

Continuous Improvement

  • Participates in the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.

Reporting

  • Prepares sectional statements and reports timely and accurately to meet EGA and department requirements, policies, and quality standards.
  • Develops periodic reports on human capital data, key indicators, and trends analysis to support strategic decision making.

Authority/ Decision making:

  • Thinking within clearly defined procedures, precedents and objectives, under general direction.
  • Subject to general direction and defined functional policy objectives. Actions which will impact other functional or operating areas usually require approval before they may be implemented.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree Human Resource Management or equivalent

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6 years of professional experience in a relevant position performing HR data analytics activities.
