Roles & Responsibilities
Discovery and Learning Requirements

Lead discovery efforts to understand learning needs, performance gaps, and business context

Conduct needs analysis through stakeholder conversations, observation, and data review

Translate business and performance needs into clear learning objectives and design requirements

Create design briefs and documentation that provide clear direction to design and development teams
Instructional Design Across Modalities
-
Design high-quality learning solutions across a range of modalities, including instructor-led, virtual, digital, and on-the-job learning

Apply instructional design best practices and adult learning principles consistently
-
Design learner-centered experiences that support engagement, retention, and application
-
Define assessment approaches that validate learning outcomes and skill development
-
Structure learning pathways that support progressive capability building
Learning Brand and Design Consistency

Ensure learning solutions reflect and reinforce a consistent enterprise learning identity

Maintain consistency in tone, structure, and design approach across solutions
-
Challenge design or content decisions that dilute quality or consistency

Partner with stakeholders to align on design expectations and standards
Working with Subject Matter Experts

Collaborate closely with subject matter experts to extract relevant knowledge

Challenge overly technical or content-heavy inputs to keep learning focused and usable

Facilitate working sessions that translate expertise into clear, learner-friendly content

Balance SME input with sound instructional design judgment
Design Quality and Standards

Review learning designs to ensure quality and consistency

Provide constructive feedback that strengthens design outputs

Contribute to design standards, templates, and best practices

Support and mentor other learning designers as needed
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience
-
7 10 years of experience in instructional design, learning design, or learning strategy
-
Strong track record designing learning solutions across multiple modalities
-
Deep understanding of instructional design models and adult learning principles
-
Experience conducting discovery and translating business needs into learning solutions
-
Confidence working with and constructively challenging subject matter experts
-
Experience maintaining consistency and quality across learning solutions in an enterprise environment
Education
-
Bachelor s degree required
-
Master s degree in Instructional Design, Learning Design, or a related field preferred
