Job Description

A Leasing Agent plays a critical role in property management, acting as the intermediary between property owners or management companies and prospective tenants. This role requires a blend of sales acumen, customer service, and administrative skills to effectively manage both the leasing process and tenant relationships. The Leasing Agent is responsible for marketing available properties, conducting property tours, screening potential tenants, and facilitating lease agreements. Strong communication skills are essential, as the Leasing Agent must convey the property's features, benefits, and any relevant terms clearly to prospective tenants and answer any questions or concerns. Additionally, the Leasing Agent must maintain organization and attention to detail to ensure all leasing documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with local laws and regulations. Responsibilities
  • Conduct property tours for potential tenants and highlight key features.
  • Manage and organize the listing of available rental properties accurately.
  • Respond promptly to all leasing inquiries and schedule property viewings.
  • Draft, review, and communicate lease terms and agreements to tenants.
  • Screen prospective tenants through background checks and credit evaluations.
  • Coordinate move-in processes and ensure readiness of rental units.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with current tenants and clients.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and repair teams to address tenant concerns.
  • Prepare and execute marketing strategies to attract prospective tenants.
  • Maintain accurate tenant records and ensure timely collection of rents.
  • Stay informed of local real estate market trends and regulatory changes.
  • Liaise with property management teams to optimize property leasing strategies.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in leasing, sales, or customer service role is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective client interaction.
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of local real estate laws and fair housing regulations.
  • Proven ability to achieve leasing and property management objectives.
