Roles & Responsibilities

MAIN ACTIVITIES

Purchasing and Contracts Lawyer:

  • Evaluate the legal aspects of suppliers' proposals in the context of calls for tenders and deliver legal advice and opinions on all issues or topics raised;
  • Prepare, draft, validate and conduct negotiations with suppliers in a national and international context concerning contracts relating to non-production purchases, legally securing the acquisition of goods, services and services carried out by the Group and ensuring compliance with applicable legal and regulatory constraints and in compliance with the instructions of the Group Legal Department and internal legal procedures;
  • Coordinate and centralize the opinions and comments of other support functions (personal data, export control, compliance, insurance, etc.) and explain them in negotiations;
  • Participate in the development and updating of the company's standard document templates relevant to their area of ​​expertise;
  • To monitor legal developments in contract law, construction law, energy law and economic regulations.
  • To intervene on the legal and contractual aspects of supplier management, particularly in the context of managing disputes related to contracts;
  • Manage relationships with external lawyers and legal advisors;
  • If necessary, train the buyer community on legal and contractual issues.

Third-Party Validation Compliance

  • Establish and control supplier selection and monitoring processes in relation to compliance.
  • Evaluate third parties (suppliers, service providers, partners) using the due diligence tools implemented by the Group.
  • Participate in the development and validation of supplier contracts, ensuring the integration of compliance clauses.
  • Supporting purchasing teams to identify and manage risks related to supplier relationships.

Protection of personal data:

  • Complete the formalities with the CNDP to obtain the appropriate authorizations and declarations covering all of Safran Maroc's activities;
  • Maintain the internal register for monitoring treatments at Safran Maroc and ensure its regular updating.
  • Assess the risks associated with data processing and propose corrective measures.
  • Ensure the consistency of systems and practices with the Group's guidelines.
  • Advise management and operational staff (HR, IT, etc.) on regulations and best practices and develop a data protection culture.
  • Supporting projects involving personal data (new applications, HR management systems, etc.).
  • Monitor and manage data protection incidents.
  • Point of contact with the supervisory authority (CNDP) and, if necessary, with foreign protection authorities.

Desired Candidate Profile

With a minimum of a Master's degree (Bac +5) in business and contract law, you have at least three years of successful experience gained in large international groups, law firms, or a major company with a significant contractual activity. Drawn to negotiation and the operational aspects of the legal profession, you are fluent in both written and spoken French and English. Knowledge of French or Anglo-Saxon law is a plus. You are proficient in current regulations regarding commercial compliance and personal data protection.
