Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety, including checking tire pressure, oil levels, and brakes before each trip.
  • Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays encountered during travel.
  • Assist with loading and unloading items, ensuring that all cargo is secured and within weight limits for safe transport.
  • Plan and optimize routes based on traffic patterns and delivery schedules to ensure timely arrivals.
  • Stay updated on local road conditions and changes in traffic laws to navigate safely and effectively.
  • Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents to management promptly to ensure operational efficiency.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in defensive driving is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; familiarity with local and regional routes is essential.
  • Proficiency in basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting, enabling quick resolution of minor issues.
  • Ability to read maps and use GPS technology effectively for route planning and navigation.
