Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items with precision, ensuring each dish meets the restaurant's high standards for quality and presentation.
  • Set up and stock the kitchen stations before service, organizing ingredients and tools to streamline the cooking process.
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures, making adjustments as needed to avoid overcooking or undercooking dishes.
  • Collaborate with the head chef and other kitchen staff to execute service effectively during peak hours, maintaining a fast-paced workflow.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Assist in menu planning and recipe development, contributing ideas that enhance the overall dining experience.
  • Handle food prep tasks such as chopping vegetables and marinating proteins, ensuring all ingredients are ready for service.
  • Perform inventory checks and assist with ordering supplies, keeping track of stock levels to minimize waste and ensure fresh ingredients.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and skilled team environment.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, demonstrating the ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Proficiency in a variety of cooking methods, including grilling, sautéing, and baking, to deliver a diverse menu.
  • Strong knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment, allowing for efficient and safe food preparation.
