Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

This position requires a fluent Arabic speaker with good English communication skills.


The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the timely and cost-effective movement of materials, equipment, and supplies to support company operations and projects, particularly for the Iraq market. The role involves preparing and reviewing shipping and customs documentation, coordinating with international and local suppliers, freight forwarders, and clearance agents, and tracking shipments until final delivery. The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring uninterrupted operations across multiple business units by maintaining accurate logistics records, supporting procurement and project teams, and ensuring compliance with trade and transport regulations.


- Prepare shipping bills of lading and required documentation for outgoing products.

- Arrange carriers for shipments and coordinate orders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

- Prepare courier shipments paperwork and source emergency shipping carriers as needed.

- Develop and maintain daily schedules for shipping and receiving in coordination with customer service and planning departments.

- Ensure orders are shipped on time to meet expected delivery dates and communicate any changes with relevant personnel.

- Prepare documentation for each job and maintain shipping files.

- Maintain accurate inventory records and track shipments.

- Schedule and receive all incoming raw materials and plant supplies and report any discrepancies.

- Coordinate the preparation of samples required to be shipped.

- Report any shortages of products needed to ship and react to shipment changes.

- Maintain receiving files and communicate with relevant departments regarding the arrival of materials.

- Receive, verify, and check freight invoices internally and externally.

- Confirm the accuracy of invoices and send them to management for approval.

- Provide backup for production coordinators and shippers as needed.

- Manage relationships with logistics service providers.

- Stay updated on industry trends and developments to recommend best practices and innovative solutions.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics or related field.

- A minimum of (5) years of experience in shipping, logistics, or purchasing environment.

- Previous experience working in logistics, supply chain management or related field.

- Proficiency in MS Office Suit.

- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.

- Good problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

- Attention to detail and effective time management skills.

- Understanding of local and international shipment regulations.

- Ability to plan and coordinate multiple activities in a busy environment.

- Effective communication with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.
