Job Description — Role Overview
The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the maintenance and repair of various amusement and gaming equipment, including arcade games, simulators, bowling lanes, pinsetters, and related systems. The role involves diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues to ensure optimal functionality, safety, and operational efficiency of all equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance and repair of arcade games, attractions, simulators, and bowling equipment.
- Ensure safe operation for customers and staff by adhering to safety protocols and addressing hazards promptly.
- Maintain and repair bowling lanes, pinsetters, and all bowling-related equipment.
- Conduct inspections and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to identify faults and maintenance needs.
- Install new games and equipment, including wiring, configurations, and calibration.
- Respond quickly to technical issues raised by staff or guests.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and place replacement orders when needed.
- Adhere to safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
- Provide operational support as required by Arcade Supervisor or Operations Manager.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the Operations Manager.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent (mandatory)
- Work Experience: Minimum 4–5 years (1 year of UAE/GCC experience preferred)
- Technical diploma or certification in electrical/mechanical/electronics preferred
- Proven experience as an Arcade/Bowling Technician in amusement facilities
- Strong knowledge of arcade games, bowling alley mechanics, and troubleshooting techniques
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Ability to lift/carry heavy objects and work in confined spaces, as required
- Basic MS Office skills (Word & Excel) for reporting
