Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and execute coal trading contracts, ensuring optimal pricing and terms to maximize profitability.
  • Oversee the entire coal supply chain, from sourcing and procurement to transportation and delivery, optimizing efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with coal suppliers, customers, and logistics providers globally.
  • Analyze market trends, monitor competitor activities, and identify opportunities to improve trading strategies.
  • Manage risk associated with coal trading, including price volatility, currency fluctuations, and credit risk.
  • Coordinate and manage coal shipments, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with all regulations and standards.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on trading performance, market analysis, and supply chain efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and environmental standards.
  • Lead and mentor a team of trading and supply chain professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs within the coal trading and supply chain operations.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Economics, or Engineering.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of experience in coal trading, supply chain management, or a related area.
  • Exhibits a strong understanding of the global coal market, including pricing mechanisms and trading practices.
  • Holds relevant certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or similar credentials.
  • Displays proven experience in negotiating and managing complex trading contracts.
  • Shows proficiency in financial modeling, risk management, and market analysis.
  • Possesses exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exhibits strong leadership qualities and the ability to mentor and develop a team.
