Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
Experience of working with risk management (First Line, Second Line or Third Line) in areas like Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Business Continuity Management (BCM) or Corporate Governance (having knowledge of UAE and US Corporate Governance law is a plus).
Working knowledge of ERM, ISO 31000 and COSO ERM framework.
Experience of working with BCM implementation including but not limited to Business Impact Analysis, Risk Assessment, Business Continuity Strategies, Crisis Management and Business Continuity Plans, Risk Incident Management (having worked on IT Disaster Recovery is plus).
Independently performing process walkthroughs to identify key activities, risks and controls and review the documentation of process narratives, flowcharts, and risk control matrices.
Identifying the design gaps, if any, in the process and remedial measures.
Performing testing over the design and operating effectiveness of assigned controls and discussing the deficiencies with the management.
Validating with management the resolution and facilitating implementation of corrective action plans.
Driving projects independently with limited supervision in the given timelines.
Supporting the Manager / Associate Director to manage client relationships and act as a point of contact for clients.
Supervising and mentor team members.
Contributing to the professional development and training initiatives within the Risk and Controls function.
Participating in business development by ensuring high quality client deliverables.
Ability to manage multiple engagements and meeting deadlines.
Ability to work effectively in a team.

Desired Candidate Profile

We’re looking for Risk professionals who are passionate about providing Governance Risk & Compliance to clients which includes support on building and implementing end to end ERM, BCM, Corporate Governance and related matters. The incumbent will work for top global clients across a wide variety of markets and industry sectors.

  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of COSO Framework, Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (ICOFR) and effectively apply this knowledge to moderately difficult and/or complex client situations.
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of accounting concepts; stay informed of professional standards; and effectively apply this knowledge to moderately difficult and/or complex client situations.
  • Demonstrate strong relationship management skills to actively establish stakeholder / client (process owner/functional heads) and internal relationships.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel on short notice, as necessary.
  • Possess strong domain knowledge.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure – stringent deadlines and tough client conditions which may demand extended working hours.
  • Demonstrate integrity, values, principles, and work ethics.
