Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of pipe mill operations, ensuring efficient production and adherence to quality standards, optimizing equipment utilization and minimizing downtime.
- Develop and implement production schedules, coordinating with various departments to meet customer demands and manage inventory effectively.
- Lead and mentor a team of mill operators, fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and professional development through training and performance reviews.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production output, yield, and cost per ton, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Holds relevant certifications in pipe manufacturing or related fields (e.g., API certifications).
- Demonstrates a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in pipe mill operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Exhibits a deep understanding of various pipe manufacturing processes, including forming, welding, and finishing.
