Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description

This role will report into the local Head of Department and help lead the way we shape, create and develop our PA and Corporate Responsibility efforts across the UAE.

  • Identify, assess and leverage relevant public affairs opportunities and/or important regulatory changes on an ongoing basis

  • Help establish and maintain strategic relationships with government entities and regulatory authorities in the UAE, and ensure the company s priorities and role are clearly conveyed

  • Support in the development and execution of public affairs plans across seven emirates and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to drive ongoing projects and new initiatives

  • Draft content and presentations, organize meetings and events, as well as ensure alignment with comms and marketing teams when needed (including newsletter to authorities)

  • Help in risk mitigation, including online/on-ground support and documenting incidents

  • Collaborate closely with other functions to ensure alignment between business and policy objectives, as well as sustainability goals and community outreach

Corporate Responsibility

  • Project management of corporate responsibility initiatives that involve liaising with internal stakeholders across various departments (example: commercial, operations, finance, legal, marcomms)

  • Aligning corporate responsibility and sustainability targets to international standards and local UAE government mandates

  • Measuring the social impact of the initiatives and reporting on non- financial performance

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in either Public Affairs, exposure to Communications and/or Communications and Corporate Responsibility a plus
  • Agency experience and/or dynamic in-house exposure, with project management experience

  • Qualifications and or Experience in Government Relations, Public Affairs or Communications.

  • Excellent written and verbal Arabic and English communications skills

  • Results and data driven - proven involvement in impactful PA/CR campaigns.

  • Dedicated, reliable and accurate with great attention to detail

  • A collaborative and agile mindset, able to manage a large number of stakeholders

  • Organizational skills - used to simultaneously working on several projects at any one time

  • Able to work under pressure with high emotional intelligence and a professional approach
