Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all room service operations (taking orders, preparing, delivering, clearing, billing).

  • Ensure the smooth running of the service and compliance with deadlines announced to customers.

  • Control the quality and presentation of dishes, drinks and trays before delivery.

  • Ensure coordination with the kitchen, bar and pastry shop to ensure orders are compliant.

  • Manage special and VIP requests, anticipating customer expectations and preferences.

Team management

  • Supervise, train and motivate the Room Service team (supervisors, head waiters and commis de rang, order takers).

  • Establish schedules according to activity and optimize productivity.

  • Ensure compliance with service standards (LQA), hygiene and safety.

  • Support the development of team skills through coaching and evaluations.

Quality & Customer Experience

  • Ensure the application of hotel and brand standards (LQA (Accor / Fairmont), etc.).

  • Manage and follow up on customer feedback (comments, surveys, complaints).

  • Personalize the experience of regular and VIP customers.

Management & Administration

  • Manage the costs and stocks related to Room Service (linen, mini-bars, consumables).

  • Participate in the preparation of the budget and the monitoring of financial performance.

  • Analyze sales, identify trends and propose development actions (up-selling, special offers, new menus).

  • Ensure the proper use of computer systems (POS, PMS, ordering applications).

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications and experience

  • Bac+3 minimum in hotel/catering or equivalent.
  • Confirmed experience (3 to 5 years) in catering, including at least 2 years in a management position in Room Service or F&B.
  • Mastery of French and English (oral and written); mastery of other languages is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of hotel software (Opera, Micros, Simphony).
