Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Marketing Executive plays a pivotal role in crafting and executing robust marketing strategies and campaign plans for international trade exhibitions and conferences. Leveraging traditional and innovative marketing techniques, the Marketing Executive contributes to attracting visitors, delegates, exhibitors, sponsors, and press. Additionally, the role involves proposing initiatives, fostering innovation, and utilizing B2B marketing expertise to enrich marketing endeavors. While typically assigned two events, for mega-events, focus will be on one.
Key Accountabilities:
- Contribute to Comprehensive Marketing Activities, produce event marketing materials aligned with critical timelines.
- Develop and Execute Email Campaigns, Generate and analyse open/click rates and conversions of promotional newsletters.
- Maintain and Optimize Event Website, ensure an easily navigable website that drives conversions through SEO and user journey enhancements.
- Manage PPC Campaigns, Drive traffic to event websites and landing pages through effective PPC management.
- Leverage Digital Tools for Campaign Enhancement, enhance attendee experience by utilizing mobile apps and survey tools, analysing adoption and usage rates.
- Oversee Exhibitor Promotion and Campaign Strategy, execute a comprehensive campaign strategy, contributing to lead generation through exhibitor promotions.
- Lead Copywriting and Design for Delegate Marketing, Generate significant delegate sales leads through targeted marketing campaigns.
- Utilize Salesforce for Marketing Opportunities, produce complex data reports, identifying marketing opportunities and leveraging data effectively.
- Handle Marketing Administration, Ensure timely responses to inquiries and error-free marketing collaterals.
- Negotiate Barter Agreements with Media Partners, establish effective contra deals to expand event reach through partner marketing channels.
- Coordinate with External Suppliers, maintain favourable supplier relationships and negotiate within budget constraints.
- Support Research Projects for Portfolio Development, Conduct and complete surveys effectively to provide accurate findings for portfolio enhancement.
- Provide Onsite Support for Marketing Activities, Ensure smooth execution of marketing-related tasks during events through effective briefing and supplier management.
This role collaborates closely with the exhibition sales, sponsorship, conference production, and delegate sales teams to drive lead generation and conversions.
Job-Specific Skills:
- Database utilization for marketing campaigns.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Attention to detail and copywriting proficiency.
- HTML proficiency.
Behavioural Competencies:
- Effective time management.
- Trustworthiness, professionalism, and reliability.
- Strong teamwork skills.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
Marketing qualification preferred.
Minimum Experience:
2-3 years of marketing experience, not strictly in event marketing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in conference management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a Event Management Company, Professional Conference Organizer (PCO) or similar organization.
- Professional certifications in event management, project management, or related fields are a plus.
