Material Controller ARC ENGINEERING L.L.C

Verify deliveries against PO/DO/GRN: quantities, sizes, grades, heat/batch numbers, and packing lists.

Collect and file Material Test Certificates (MTCs), Certificates of Conformance (COCs), calibration certificates for controlled items.

Create Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) in ERP; ensure correct item codes, units of measure, and cost capture.

Coordinate IQC (Incoming Quality Control) with QA/QC: dimensional checks, visual inspection, documentation review.

Tag materials with heat/batch numbers; maintain traceability registers mapping materials to job travelers/weld maps.

Quarantine nonconforming materials; register NCRs and support supplier CAPA closure.

Implement storage plans by category: plates/profiles, pipes/fittings/flanges, bolts, welding consumables, gases, abrasives, paints.

Enforce preservation standards: rust prevention, protective covers, humidity control; FIFO/FEFO where applicable (consumables, chemicals, paints).

Control welding consumables per WPS/PQR: baking/holding ovens, issue logs (batch/lot), temperature records.

Issue materials per job traveler/production order .

Validate pick lists against IFC drawings/BOM and ITP checkpoints; ensure correct grade/size, orientation marking.

Maintain return-to-store process for surplus and scrap segregation (record and disposition).

Run cycle counts and periodic stock takes; reconcile variances and update ERP.

Track inventory turns, slow/obsolete stock, and safety/min–max levels; propose reorder points and kanban for fast movers.

Monitor material yield (plates/profiles)—close feedback loop with nesting/Production to reduce offcuts and scrap.

Maintain clean item master (descriptions, units, specs, barcodes/QR), and accurate bin/location management.

Ensure real-time postings (GRN, issue/return, transfer, adjustment) with supporting documents; keep audit trails.

Generate daily/weekly inventory reports: plan vs actual issues, shortages, excesses, NCRs, traceability status.

Schedule offloading/loading with crane/forklift; enforce lifting plans and rigging safety.

Optimize yard layout for accessibility and first-in-first-out flow; maintain clear bin maps and signage.

Coordinate dispatches with Production/QA/QC (QC release notes, packing lists, marking/traceability documents).

Enforce HSE: PPE, safe stacking, MSDS handling (chemicals/gases), hot work restrictions.

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and client/project documentation requirements; support internal/external audits.

Close audit findings on time with corrective/preventive actions.

Assign tasks, supervise store staff; run daily tier meetings for volume, shortages, risks.

Train team on ERP transactions, traceability, consumable controls, HSE; cross-train for coverage.

Promote discipline, accuracy, and service mindset toward production schedules.
