Newborn Care

• Provide round-the-clock care for the newborn, including feeding, changing, bathing, and soothing.
• Monitor the baby’s health, sleeping patterns, feeding schedules, and general development.
• Maintain hygiene of baby equipment, bottles, and nursery environment.
• Recognize early signs of illness and report concerns to parents or healthcare professionals.

Mother’s Support

• Support the mother with postnatal recovery, including rest, nutrition, and emotional well-being.
• Assist with breastfeeding or bottle-feeding, offering advice and troubleshooting challenges.
• Provide information on postnatal hygiene, wound care, and physical recovery.

Parental Guidance and Education

• Teach parents how to handle, feed, and settle their baby safely and confidently.
• Share best practices on newborn safety, sleep routines, and developmental milestones.
• Encourage and support parents to develop confidence in their new roles.

General Household Support (only if needed)

• Ensure the nursery is clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.
• Occasionally assist with light household duties related to the baby (e.g., laundry, sterilizing bottles).
