Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
This role involves designing, developing, configuring, and supporting scalable Maximo EAM solutions. The candidate will collaborate closely with EAMS Manager and ADA IT teams to tailor Maximo to organizational needs. Strong skills in workflows, training, automation scripts, BIRT reporting, and performance optimization are required. The needs demonstrate deep expertise in IBM Maximo (7.6.x and MAS 9.x), Java/Python development, Oracle and GIS integrations, and OpenShift administration. Proficiency in core Maximo modules is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and configure IBM Maximo and MAS 9.x solutions to meet complex business requirements
- Implement best practices to streamline Maximo Operations.
- Customize applications, MBOs, workflows, escalations, and automation scripts (Jython/Python/Java).
- Architect and implement integrations between IBM Maximo and external systems
- Develop and maintain REST/SOAP web services, APIs, and middleware for enterprise integrations
- Manage data migration, transformation, and synchronization between legacy and enterprise systems
- Lead end-to-end IBM MAS 9.x implementation, configuration, and environment setup.
- Define deployment pipelines and manage MAS services on Red Hat OpenShift.
- Administer MAS instances including scaling, upgrades, monitoring, and patching.
- Work closely with security and infra teams to implement SSO, OIDC/SAML, and MFA for MAS
- Deploy, configure, and administer Maximo and MAS workloads on Red Hat OpenShift clusters.
- Manage containers, pods, routes, and service configurations to ensure high availability and resilience.
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and optimize containerized workloads
- Write reusable, modular, and scalable code in Java and Python for Maximo extensions and automation scripts.
- Perform root-cause analysis and debugging of production issues across application, integration, and infra layers.
- Develop tools and utilities for monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting Maximo/MAS performance.
- Deliver documentation including technical design specs, integration diagrams, and deployment guides
- Configure domains, security groups, applications, and conditional expressions.
- Design and deploy BIRT/ Cognos reports and dashboards.
- Implement and optimize KPI Manager and start centers for user productivity.
- Manage and prepare for internal and external audits by ensuring all Maximo Development records are up to date.
- Address audit findings by developing corrective action plans and updating processes.
- Support the wider AFM teams in developing solutions.
- Manage and resolve escalations that have impact on critical path of service delivery
- UAT, training / handover of newly developed configurations
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience Required:
- 7 years of experience in IBM Maximo Development and Administration
- Strong knowledge of IBM Maximo 7.6.x and IBM MAS 9.x.
- Expertise is core Maximo and MAS modules
- Hands-on development experience in Java, Python, and Jython scripting
- Proficiency in OpenShift administration, container orchestration, and Kubernetes concepts
- Strong understanding of Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), REST/SOAP services, and API management.
- Proficiency in SQL, DB2, or Oracle databases.
- Familiarity with application servers (WebSphere, WebLogic, or Liberty).
- Technical knowledge of Maximo upgrades, patches, and fixes
- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills across application and infrastructure layers.
- Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of SSO, OIDC, SAML, and MFA authentication mechanisms for Maximo/MAS
