Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment including pumps, compressors, fans, blowers, gearboxes, conveyors, and overhead cranes.
  • Perform alignment, balancing, and vibration analysis on rotating equipment using appropriate diagnostic instruments.
  • Install and maintain HVAC systems, chilled water systems, and mechanical ventilation equipment within facility buildings.
  • Conduct overhaul and reconditioning of mechanical components including bearings, couplings, seals, impellers, and shaft assemblies.
  • Fabricate and install pipework for compressed air, water, cooling, and process systems.
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle hoists, workshop lifting equipment, and load-bearing mechanical structures.
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults using engineering drawings, manuals, and diagnostic data.
  • Implement and support a condition-based monitoring program including vibration monitoring, thermography, and oil analysis.
  • Perform maintenance and inspection of pressure vessels and associated safety relief valves.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and spare parts usage in the CMMS.
  • Comply with ALTAIF HSE policies including permit-to-work, LOTO, working at height, and confined space procedures.
  • Provide technical support and mentoring to junior mechanical technicians.
  • Participate in planned shutdowns, major overhauls, and facility upgrade projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is an advantage.
  • Valid UAE driving license (preferred).
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement.
