Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of concrete equipment, including: o Concrete pumps o Shotcrete machines o Mortar pumps o Concrete mixers o Electric and diesel-driven motors • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pump-related issues. • Inspect, repair, and replace bearings, seals, couplings, hoses, valves, and gearboxes. • Handle hydraulic systems, including pumps, cylinders, control valves, and hoses. • Conduct equipment commissioning, testing, and performance checks before rental dispatch. • Attend site breakdowns and ensure quick restoration of equipment. • Maintain service records, job cards, and maintenance logs. • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company procedures. • Support junior mechanics and guide them in correct repair practices. • Coordinate with operations and rental teams for equipment availability.
Desired Candidate Profile
• 5–10+ years of experience as a mechanic in a construction equipment rental company. • Strong experience in: o Concrete pumps & shotcrete machines o Electric & diesel motors o Pump systems (hydraulic & mechanical) • Excellent knowledge of: o Hydraulics & pneumatics o Mechanical troubleshooting o Rotating equipment o Preventive & breakdown maintenance • Ability to read mechanical drawings and manuals. • Hands-on experience with heavy-duty tools and measuring instruments. • Good understanding of site safety and LOTO procedures. • Ability to work independently and handle pressure during breakdowns. Preferred Qualifications • ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering • Experience in UAE / Gulf construction sites • Valid driving license in UAE (preferred) • Basic knowledge of electrical systems
