Role Purpose

The Director of Media Operations & Measurement is responsible for ensuring dentsu media delivers operational excellence across its digital and programmatic media practice. This role steers internal operations, bidding processes, campaign trafficking, and analytics, ensuring all teams adhere to consistent standards, tools, and processes. The Director also leads measurement and reporting, providing clarity on campaign performance, testing new bidding solutions, and driving continuous optimization across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead agency-wide media operations, ensuring alignment in processes, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Own digital excellence in trading operations, including bidding tools, strategy frameworks, and testing new optimization technologies.
  • Oversee campaign setup, trafficking, naming conventions, and account stewardship, ensuring consistency across teams.
  • Manage measurement and analytics teams, overseeing campaign performance reporting, insights generation, and visualization/dashboarding.
  • Identify what is working (and what is not) across campaigns, providing clear direction for optimization and process improvement.
  • Lead crisis management through strong operational processes and innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with trading and product teams to implement new bidding technologies and optimization strategies.
  • Establish governance and best practices for campaign analytics, trafficking, and reporting standards.
  • Ensure integration of campaign insights into planning, trading, and client reporting.


Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years experience in media operations, ad operations, programmatic trading, or measurement/analytics leadership.
  • Strong expertise in ad trafficking, campaign setup, DSP/SSP operations, and bidding strategies.
  • Proven experience managing measurement teams and translating data into actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with campaign management and reporting tools (ad servers, DSPs, DMPs, visualization tools).
  • Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills, with ability to implement operational solutions at scale.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, with the ability to enforce standards and drive cross-team adoption of processes.
