Roles & Responsibilities

Medical Coder

Job Location : Dubai, UAE

Key Responsibilities :

Accurately code medical diagnoses, treatments, and procedures using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
Review patient medical records and ensure proper assignment of codes for billing and reimbursement purposes.
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate documentation and code assignment.
Handle coding for various departments including outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and specialty care.
Submit and follow up on insurance claims, ensuring proper reimbursement for services rendered.
Ensure compliance with insurance and hospital policies, as well as all applicable regulations and standards.
Participate in audits and assist with any coding-related inquiries.
Stay updated on coding and billing regulations, policies, and changes in healthcare law.

Qualifications :

Must have a certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCA, CCS).
Minimum 3-4 years of experience in medical coding within a hospital or clinical setting in Dubai.
Extensive knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding systems and DRG-based billing.
Experience with healthcare insurance claims, billing processes, and reimbursement regulations.
Attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.
Experience with medical coding software and hospital information systems.
