Job Description

A Medical Representative in the dental field, also known as a Dental Sales Representative, plays a crucial role in promoting and selling dental products to healthcare professionals. These individuals must possess a comprehensive understanding of dental products and know how to communicate their benefits effectively to clients. They often act as a bridge between dental product manufacturers and dentists, ensuring the latter are informed about the latest advancements and technologies. A successful Medical Representative will develop and maintain strong relationships with key dental practices, clinics, and distributors, using their expertise to forecast and meet market demands. This role requires a proactive approach to achieving sales goals and an ability to quickly adapt to the ever-evolving dental industry.


Responsibilities
  • Promote and sell company dental products to established and prospective client bases.
  • Arrange appointments with dentists and dental teams to present products.
  • Demonstrate the practical use and benefits of dental products to clients.
  • Maintain knowledge of the dental products market and competitor activities.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with dental healthcare professionals and clinics.
  • Plan work schedules and weekly or monthly timetables, adjusting as required.
  • Provide feedback and insights to the company for product development improvements.
  • Attend dental conferences and events to network and promote products.
  • Keep detailed records of all contacts and maintain regular communication with key customers.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing in line with the company policies and strategies.
  • Analyze territory/market potential and track sales and status reports regularly.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure cohesive promotional materials.

Requirements
  • A Bachelor s degree in Dental Technology, Pharmacology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous sales experience within the dental industry is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills are essential for success.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team, to meet sales targets.
  • Sound knowledge of dental products and the ability to learn new products quickly.
  • A valid driver s license with the willingness to travel extensively.
