Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a qualified and experienced MEP Chiller Water Engineer to manage and oversee the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of chilled water systems in commercial, industrial, and residential projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP systems, with hands-on expertise in HVAC chilled water systems, fire testing including pumps, chillers, piping, and control systems.


Key Responsibilities:

Design & Planning:

  • Design and review chilled water systems layouts, schematics, and specifications in line with project requirements and applicable codes.
  • Calculate cooling loads and select appropriate equipment (chillers, pumps, valves, pipes, etc.).
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders during the design and planning stages.
  • Ensure efficient system design with a focus on energy conservation and sustainability.

Installation & Execution:

  • Supervise installation, commissioning, and testing of chilled water systems on-site.
  • Ensure proper alignment, balancing, and calibration of chillers, pumps, and associated components.
  • Review technical submittals, shop drawings, and method statements.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify quality and compliance with specifications.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

  • Monitor system performance and conduct preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, or control system issues.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams and external service providers as required.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Prepare and maintain detailed records including project reports, equipment logs, and service histories.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and safety guidelines.
  • Provide technical support and training to junior engineers or technicians.

Desired Candidate Profile


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP engineering, specifically in chilled water systems.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water distribution, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, DEWA, etc.).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design software (e.g., HAP, Carrier E20).
  • Experience with BMS (Building Management Systems) is a plus.
  • UAE experience and a valid driving license are mandatory
