Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and analysis of HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency, from conceptualization to implementation.
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed mechanical engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations, adhering to international codes and standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and assessments to verify installations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into the overall building design.
  • Evaluate and select mechanical equipment, such as chillers, pumps, and air handling units, considering factors like performance, cost, and maintainability.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans for mechanical engineering projects.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams during the installation and commissioning phases.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage and mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Holds professional engineering (PE) licensure or equivalent certification.
  • Demonstrates 5+ years of experience in MEP engineering, with a focus on mechanical systems.
  • Has a solid understanding of international building codes (e.g., ASHRAE, IBC) and standards.
  • Displays excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Exhibits project management skills, including the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
  • Shows a proactive and results-oriented approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal, with any additional language skills considered a plus.
