Mill Pulpit Operator Operation (Hot Rolling Mill)

The incumbent will be responsible for operating and monitoring the rolling mill from the main control pulpit to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient production of rebars as per quality and production targets. The role involves controlling mill parameters, coordinating with field operators, and maintaining process stability.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and control the rolling mill through HMI/SCADA systems from the main pulpit.

Monitor rolling parameters such as speed, temperature, tension, and alignment to ensure optimal production.

Ensure production of rebars meets required quality standards and specifications.

Coordinate closely with furnace, mill, and finishing operators for smooth operations.

Identify and troubleshoot process abnormalities and take corrective actions promptly.

Maintain production logs, reports, and shift records accurately.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Minimize downtime by proactive monitoring and quick response to issues.

Support maintenance activities and provide feedback for process improvements.
