Model Maker / Fabricator Future Dimensions Company

We are seeking a skilled Model Maker / Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in producing high-quality architectural scale models and prototypes for real estate, architectural, and installation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed architectural scale models and physical prototypes based on CAD drawings, parametric models, and design specifications.

• Use CAD and 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Rhino, Grasshopper (parametric design), or similar tools to prepare, modify, and optimize model designs.

• Interpret parametric and complex geometries and translate them into accurate physical models.

• Fabricate models using a variety of materials including wood, plastic, acrylic, foam, metal, and mixed media.

• Operate and support 3D printing and prototyping technologies (FDM, SLA, FGF, etc.) to produce precise components.

• Perform assembly, finishing, sanding, painting, and detailing to achieve high-quality presentation standards.

• Collaborate with architects, designers, and project teams to ensure design intent, accuracy, and constructability.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe working environment.

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience as a Model Maker, Fabricator, or similar role.

• Bachelor’s or College Degree in Architecture, Urban Studies, Industrial Design, or a related field.

• Proven experience working with real estate maquette or architectural model-making companies.

• Proficiency in parametric and 3D modeling software such as Rhino / Grasshopper, 3ds Max, or equivalent tools.

• Strong understanding of materials, fabrication methods, and model-making tools.

• Hands-on knowledge of 3D printing, CNC machining, laser cutting, and prototyping workflows.

• High attention to detail, craftsmanship, and ability to meet tight project deadlines.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
