Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Administering and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, VLAN configurations, and routing protocols across multiple sites to ensure optimal performance, availability and strong security controls across the network environment.
  • Configuring, optimizing, and maintaining network and security devices including designing, deploying, and managing enterprise firewall environments across multi-vendor platforms (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, and Check Point) in line with industry best practices to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and robust security controls across the network environment.
  • Implementing and maintaining secure VPN solutions, including site-to-site tunnels and remote access connectivity, and configuring web proxy solutions to enforce internet usage policies while ensuring compliance with organizational security standards.
  • Managing and optimizing UTM appliances, including IPS/IDS, content filtering, and anti-malware solutions to maintain strong threat prevention.
  • Developing, implementing, and regularly reviewing firewall rules, ACLs, and network security policies to align with evolving infrastructure and business requirements.
  • Conducting periodic security assessments and vulnerability scans, identifying risks, and executing remediation plans to address security gaps.
  • Monitoring network and security events through SIEM and log management platforms, investigating alerts, and responding to incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Supporting and maintaining VoIP infrastructure and Avaya telephony systems (IP Office, Aura, CM), including configuration of extensions, hunt groups, auto-attendants, voicemail, SIP trunk integrations, and troubleshooting voice quality issues.
  • Managing backup and disaster recovery processes to ensure data protection, system resilience, and validated recovery capabilities.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving advanced issues related to routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers, and security appliances, performing root cause analysis (RCA), and implementing permanent corrective actions to prevent recurring incidents.
  • Collaborating with internal IT teams , procurement teams, vendors, and service providers to resolve escalations and maintain service availability to business.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date technical documentation, inventory, AMC and Support renewals, including network diagrams, system configurations, and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 7 12 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and network administration, network security.
  • Solid, practical knowledge of Firewalls, VPN, UTM, Web Proxy, Routers, and Switches and a track record of working with these in real enterprise environments, not just on paper.
  • Relevant certifications (CCNA/CCNP Security, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, ITIL ) are highly desirable.
  • Experience interfacing with cybersecurity and endpoint security.
  • Experience in compliance with data privacy regulations and internal security policies.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Hands-on multivendor network switches, routers, firewalls, WAF, LB products, NICE platforms.
  • Good at breaking down complex problems and figuring out what s actually going on, not just applying a quick fix.
  • Can explain technical issues clearly to non-technical people and works well with different teams across the business.
  • Comfortable working independently but equally effective when collaborating across departments.
  • Pays attention to the details that matter especially in security and network configs where small mistakes have big consequences.
  • Can juggle multiple tasks without losing focus on what s most urgent or impactful.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience: 7+ years

Location: Dubai, UAE (Onsite)

Duration: 3 months contract

Preferred: Own visa candidates are preferred. If the candidate does not have a visa, the company will provide visa. UAE local candidates are considered.
