Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain Node.js backend microservices
  • Develop and maintain REST APIs and event-driven services
  • Implement authentication & authorization (JWT, OAuth2, OIDC)
  • Integrate with external systems (CIAM, CRM, ERP, payment, analytics)
  • Work with databases (MongoDB/Cosmos DB/SQL) and caching (Redis)
  • Build asynchronous workflows using message queues
  • Ensure performance, scalability, security, and reliability
  • Implement logging, monitoring, and observability
  • Collaborate with product, frontend, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 5–10+ years of backend development experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Node.js & TypeScript
  • Experience in microservices architecture
  • REST API development & API security best practices
  • Azure Cloud experience (APIM, Service Bus, Cosmos DB, Key Vault)
  • Experience with Docker & Kubernetes (AKS)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong understanding of asynchronous programming
  • Loyalty / rewards domain experience
  • CIAM platforms (SAP CDC / Gigya)
  • High-scale performance tuning & caching
  • Knowledge of PCI, PII, GDPR compliance
