Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and optimize non-ferrous metal processing operations, ensuring efficient material flow and minimal waste.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve processing yields, reduce operational costs, and enhance product quality.
- Oversee the maintenance and upgrade of processing equipment, including furnaces, casting machines, and rolling mills.
- Manage a team of engineers, technicians, and operators, providing guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control procedures.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, and research & development, to meet customer demands.
- Manage the budget for the non-ferrous processing department, including capital expenditures and operational expenses.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in non-ferrous metal processing.
- Drive innovation and implement new technologies to improve efficiency, sustainability, and product performance.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Holds relevant certifications such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing, demonstrating a commitment to process improvement.
- Offers a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in non-ferrous metal processing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of various non-ferrous metals, including aluminum, copper, and their alloys.
- Exhibits a proven track record of successfully optimizing processing operations and improving production yields.
- Possesses strong technical skills in areas such as melting, casting, rolling, and extrusion of non-ferrous metals.
- Demonstrates excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating and managing a team.
- Exhibits strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the capacity to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
- Has experience working in a multinational environment, with proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
- Shows a strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental sustainability, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
