Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop nursing policies and procedures that conform to current standards of nursing practice and operational policies while maintaining compliance with
    accreditation standards.
  • Comply with CBAHI standards and other regulations.
  • Communicate and interpret policies and procedures to nursing staff, ensure implementation & monitor staff practices.
  • Evaluate the work performance of all nursing personnel, assist in the determination of wage increases, and implement discipline according to operational policies.
  • Collaborate with physicians, consultants, community agencies, and institutions to improve the quality of services and resolve identified problems.
  • Participate in budget development for the nursing department for medical,
    nursing and central supplies.
  • Oversee nursing schedules to assure they meet resident needs and regulatory and budgetary standards.
  • Supervise development and delivery of in-service education to equip nursing staff with sufficient knowledge and skills to provide compassionate & quality care for resident rights.
  • Participate in daily or weekly management team meetings to discuss updates
    or resident complaints & concerns.
  • Monitor the infection control program designed to provide a safe and comfortable environment to prevent the transmission of disease and infection.
  • Prepare or review infection-control surveillance reports to identify trends and to develop effective actions to control and prevent infections.
  • Supervise nursing staff & delivery of quality care as evidenced by adequate services and staff coverage on every unit, absence of odors, general cleanliness, prevention of pressure wounds, and apparent maintenance of optimal resident functions.
  • Help the Administration department to prepare staff for inspection surveys & instruct staff about quality standards.
  • Promote compliance with accident prevention procedures, rules, and safe work practices.
  • Monitor incidents and complaints daily to identify those defined as unusual occurrences by hospital policy and promptly report to authorities for appropriate action.

Qualification & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree.
  • Master s degree is preferred.
  • Current Registration in the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum 5 years of Managerial Experience.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Knowledge of regulations established by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties related to healthcare practices.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to make presentations before authorities, public groups, and staff.
