Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial patient assessments and triage to prioritize care based on medical needs and urgency.
  • Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed, while monitoring for adverse reactions.
  • Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment protocols, medication management, and preventive health measures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Assist in minor surgical procedures by preparing instruments and ensuring a sterile environment.
  • Manage patient flow within the OPD to enhance efficiency and minimize wait times.
  • Perform routine diagnostic tests, such as blood pressure checks and blood draws, ensuring proper technique and safety.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and provide emotional support, fostering a compassionate care environment.
  • Stay updated on medical advancements and participate in continuous professional development to enhance nursing skills.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • At least 2 years of experience in outpatient care or a similar clinical setting, demonstrating relevant expertise.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in documentation practices.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in a second language is a plus, facilitating communication with diverse patient populations.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, with the ability to make quick, informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
  • Detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy in medication administration and patient documentation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the outpatient department.
  • Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and perform tasks that may require standing for extended periods.
