Roles & Responsibilities

DBS Emirates Hills Curriculum 
Our curriculum is modelled on the National Curriculum for England and adapted to our own international context, leading to a challenging set of GCSE, BTEC and GCE A Level courses from Year 10 to Year 13. We feel the opportunities that students enjoy outside the classroom are just as important as the main curriculum and we offer an extensive and varied Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) programme. 

Recruiting - Outstanding Part Time Learning Assistant Inclusion  
At DBSEH, we are looking to appoint enthusiastic, engaging and committed Outstanding Part Time Learning Assistant Inclusion who have a proven track record of supporting children and teaching staff. This role will be supporting in Early Years and Key Stage 1, so experience is required. Experience of the National Curriculum for England in the UK; with additional experience in an international setting is considered an advantage. 

Aside from experience, personality is very important, we look for inspirational support staff who leave a lasting impression on students for years to follow. If you're able to demonstrate outstanding standards of teaching and learning, with a passionate, enthusiastic, creative and dynamic attitude then we want to hear from you! 

Professional Requirements 
Minimum A - Level or equivalent (certificate has to be MOFA attested) 
A self- aware, reflective, collaborative and proactive practitioner. 
Drive and enthusiasm to support children with an inclusive approach. 
High expectations that motivate students. 
Open and approachable, able to communicate with parents in a positive manner that builds partnership. 
Excellent communication skills and organisational skills. 
Positive attitude and approach to managing behavior, wellbeing, and supporting children with SEND. 
Experience: 
Experience or aptitude for working with and supporting students of ranging abilities, various ages and with special educational needs. 
Previous teaching or teaching assistant experience preferred. 
Early Years and Key Stage 1 experience essential.  
It is essential that the successful candidate be able to plan and deliver interventions according to needs with a particular emphasis on phonics an supporting English Language Learners (ELL).
