Dubai British School Emirates Hills is recruiting an outstanding Physical Education Teacher, commencing August 2026, to join our BSO and KHDA-rated Outstanding international school.

Recruiting Physical Education Teacher

We are seeking an outstanding PE teacher with the ability to deliver high-quality GCSE, A Level and BTEC Sport lessons, combining strong subject expertise with excellent pedagogical practice. You will be an exceptional netball coach and able to teach confidently across a wide range of sports, developing performance, teamwork and competitive excellence. We want a teacher who inspires participation and ambition, builds a culture of high expectations, and helps students achieve at the highest academic and athletic levels.

Curriculum

Our curriculum is modelled on the National Curriculum for England and adapted to our own international context, leading to a challenging set of GCSE, BTEC and GCE A Level courses from Year 10 to Year 13. We feel the opportunities that students enjoy outside the classroom are just as important as the main curriculum and we offer an extensive and varied Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) programme.

Professional Requirements

Due to KHDA regulations, we only employ individuals with approved teacher status as well as a degree in their teaching subject area.

High Quality Degree in Physical Education or related fields (Must be MOFA Attested).

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (Must be MOFA Attested).

Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in the National Curriculum for England in the UK or UAE.

GCSE, A Level and/or BTEC Sport teaching experience Essential.

Strong netball coaching ability and the capacity to teach across a wide range of sports.

Ability to teach consistently inspirational lessons and a track record of outstanding results.

A commitment to the wellbeing of all students within their care

A willingness to make a broader contribution to school life.

The ability to quickly adapt to a fast-paced international, multicultural and demanding environment.

An individual with confidence and a proven track record of outstanding results as a leading subject teacher.
