Dubai British School Emirates Hills is recruiting an outstanding Physics Teacher, commencing August 2026, to join our BSO and KHDA-rated Outstanding international school.

Recruiting Physics Teacher

We are seeking an outstanding Physics teacher with the ability to teach IGCSE and A Level, and who can drive inquiry-based learning, conceptual understanding, and real-world application. We want someone who promotes critical thinking, problem solving and scientific reasoning, and who utilises high-quality practical work, flipped learning, and cross-disciplinary STEM opportunities to deepen curiosity and inspire a love of Physics.

Curriculum

Our curriculum is modelled on the National Curriculum for England and adapted to our own international context, leading to a challenging set of GCSE, BTEC and GCE A Level courses from Year 10 to Year 13. We feel the opportunities that students enjoy outside the classroom are just as important as the main curriculum and we offer an extensive and varied Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) programme.

Professional Requirements

Due to KHDA regulations, we only employ individuals with approved teacher status as well as a degree in their teaching subject area.

High Quality Degree in Physics or related fields (Must be MOFA Attested).
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (Must be MOFA Attested).
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in the National Curriculum for England in the UK or UAE.
GCSE and A Level teaching experience Essential.
Ability to teach consistently inspirational lessons and a track record of outstanding results.

The ability to quickly adapt to a fast-paced international, multicultural and demanding environment.
An individual with confidence and a proven track record of outstanding results as a leading subject teacher.
