Job Description

The Packing Supervisor is an essential leadership role responsible for overseeing the packing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role requires a professional with a keen eye for detail and exceptional organizational skills to ensure the seamless execution of packing procedures. As a Packing Supervisor, you will lead a team of packers to optimize efficiency and adhere to quality standards. Proactively seeking methods for improving processes, you will also be responsible for maintaining health and safety protocols, ensuring that the team meets production targets, and coordinating with other departments to achieve overall operational objectives. A successful candidate in this role will possess excellent communication and leadership abilities, fostering a productive and positive workspace while driving continuous improvement initiatives within the packing area.


Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily packing operations ensuring compliance with company standards and policies.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate the performance of packing staff members on shift.
  • Coordinate with the production team to prioritize packing activities based on demand.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order packing materials and supplies as required.
  • Ensure packed products meet quality standards and customer specifications at all times.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage and report on packing activities, addressing issues that impact productivity.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of packed items and inventory movements.
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are strictly followed and enforced by the team.
  • Resolve personnel issues, including work scheduling and disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities for packing equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure consistent product quality.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in supply chain management, operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a production or warehouse setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and process orientation.
  • Proven ability to implement and sustain process improvements for increased efficiency.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and control systems is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with all levels of staff.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards applicable to the industry.
