Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments accurately, tailoring approaches to each child's developmental stage and specific needs.
  • Assess pediatric patients' conditions, utilizing advanced clinical judgment to identify subtle changes and escalating concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and families to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address the unique needs of each child.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and families, creating a safe and trusting environment to alleviate anxiety.
  • Monitor vital signs and other health indicators, interpreting data to detect trends and inform timely interventions.
  • Perform advanced nursing procedures, such as IV insertions, wound care, and managing complex medical devices.
  • Educate families on disease processes, medication management, and home care strategies to promote optimal health outcomes.
  • Advocate for the rights and well-being of pediatric patients, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, adhering to all regulatory and ethical standards.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in pediatric nursing.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pediatric nursing setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Demonstrated empathy and compassion for children and their families.
  • Must be able to speak English fluently.
